BA Global Talent is seeking an experienced and proactive Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations, including weekly billings, payroll, accounts payable, and all related accounting processes. You will report to the COO and owner, and be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, with a particular focus on overseeing weekly billings to customers for crude oil hauling services. The role will also involve financial reporting, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring that the company's financial processes run efficiently and with minimal errors. The Accounting Manager will work closely with the management team to improve financial controls, streamline operations, and ensure the accuracy of all accounting records.

Responsibilities: Weekly Billing & Accounts Receivable
- Oversee the weekly billing process for crude oil hauling services, ensuring accurate invoicing in line with customer contracts and pricing terms.
- Review billing adjustments, discrepancies, and ensure the accurate application of charges to customer accounts.
- Track customer payments, process collections, and ensure timely cash application to accounts.
- Work with the operations team to resolve any billing issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.Payroll Management
- Manage the weekly payroll process, ensuring the accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure the timely processing of payroll for all employees, reviewing and correcting any discrepancies.
- Process quarterly payroll tax filings with the state and IRS, ensuring compliance with all payroll tax obligations.Accounts Payable & Supplier Management
- Oversee accounts payable, including controls over approvals, invoice entries, and processing supplier payments.
- Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and resolve any issues.
- Reconcile supplier statements to ensure all obligations are accurately tracked.Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
- Complete the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions and proper classification of expenses and revenues.
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and identify any discrepancies or required adjustments.
- Prepare general ledger entries and month-end close processes, ensuring the accurate recording of all financial transactions.Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Support the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Continuously review accounting processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations and reduce errors.
- Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in both customer billing and payroll processing to ensure smooth operations.Ad Hoc Reporting & Analysis
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reports as requested by management.
- Assist with budgeting, cash forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Provide insight into financial performance, identifying key trends, and offering actionable recommendations to improve the company's financial health.Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- Minimum 5 years of practical accounting experience.- Excellent English communication skills.- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).- Experience with accounting software systems, including Intuit QuickBooks and Axon Trucking software.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.- Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax filings for state and federal taxes.- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Public accounting and/or experience with a trucking company is preferred.- Experience with financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.- CPA designation preferred, but not required.Time Zone: CT
