The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing a team of accounting clerks while ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining external relationships with vendors, and overseeing essential accounting tasks such as cost accounting, vendor account reconciliations, accruals, etc.
The role involves both team leadership responsibilities and hands-on accounting work.

Eligibility Requirements: Education experience: BA degree or equivalentMinimum 5 years total experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership experienceMust be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing EnglishAvailability to work full USA hour shifts in EST time zonesHigh speed Wi-Fi connectionCore responsibilities: Team Management and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of accounting clerks, including work allocation, performance evaluation, and professional developmentOversee hiring, onboarding, and training of new team membersReview and approve team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsFinancial Operations: Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for costs and other expenses, analyze month-to-month deviations and identify potential errors or areas for improvementEnsure accurate COGS accounting under US GAAPReview and approve transactions in QuickBooksMaintain and develop standard operating proceduresRoll out new processes and provide training, as neededServe as liaison between the accounting department and the rest of the organization, specifically collaborate with operations team to manage supplier payments and resolve payment disputesAdministrative: Maintain and organize the administrator accounting email, including overseeing inbound and outbound communicationsEnsure timely response to internal and external inquiriesAttributes to success: Strong leadership and team management skillsExceptional attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced understanding of accounting principles and proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of organizational skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic environmentDesired skills & experience: Work experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years of team leadership experience managing 4 or more direct reportsStrong understanding of US GAAP, particularly in COGS accountingExperience with Google Workspace productsProficiency in Google Sheets/Excel/Microsoft productsExperience with QuickBooks and other enterprise-level accounting softwareStrong background in data processing and analysisExperience in implementing and improving accounting processesYou're a great team member with a can-do attitude; you're self-reflective and hardworking
