Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial operations, including overseeing the general ledger, financial reporting for real estate properties, investment vehicles, and an in-house property management firm.
This role involves delivering timely financial statements, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring all financial records comply with GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities: General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger functions, including entries and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare timely financial statements and internal reports for management and stakeholders.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations and ensure all financial data is accurate and updated.
Lender Reporting: Prepare necessary financial documentation and reports for lenders as required.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to optimize financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Software Proficiency: Microsoft Excel: Required for financial analysis and reporting.
QuickBooks (or equivalent accounting software): Must have experience using accounting software for daily operations.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management.
Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of GAAP accounting, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Haves: Experience in real estate investment firms or property management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
