The Accountant ensures and provides accurate and timely financial information to support AFS Operations and Global accounting. Position will cultivate a continuous improvement culture and will participate in ongoing learning and engagement in a fast-paced shared services environment. The ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the Shared Service strategy and execution by applying their knowledge and experience.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Prepares and assists in the completion of more complex financial deliverables Executes accounting assignments that are varied and possibly difficult Performs reconciliations of AP accountsPerforms review/monitoring and QA of AP processing Performs research and analysis Develop and maintain relationships with business segments and stakeholders Assists in monitoring key performance indicators Maintain compliance with internal controls including SOX Supports integrations (M&A) and/or system implementations Assist to ensure team meets all deadlines and deliverables in a timely and accurate manner Committed to continuous learning and a continuous improvement culture Committed to developing best practice solutions Foster open communication and innovative thinkinBasic Qualifications
Associate Degree in Accounting 2 years of accounting experience Environment/Physical Demands
This position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and phone. Employee is occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
