Hours: 20 hours per week, spread over 3 days
Location: International University of Monaco
Position Overview: The Academic Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the Dean and Vice Dean of Research and Faculty Development. The role encompasses a variety of tasks related to faculty recruitment, evaluations, and academic initiatives. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of administrative processes within the faculty development and academic departments.
Key Responsibilities: Faculty Recruitment Support: Assist in the organization and coordination of faculty hiring processes and create a database for it. Provide support during the interview process and help with onboarding of new faculty members. Faculty Evaluation Assistance: Coordinate the administrative aspects of the faculty evaluation process. Assist in maintaining records related to faculty performance and evaluations. Support for Academic and Pedagogical Initiatives: Provide logistical and administrative support for academic events, workshops, and training sessions focused on faculty development and pedagogy. Assist in coordinating the dissemination of materials and communication for faculty development programs. General Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records and handle routine communications, ensuring effective coordination with faculty, staff, and other departments. Project Coordination: Support ongoing academic projects and initiatives, providing assistance with data collection, reporting, and project timelines. Ensure that assigned tasks are completed in a timely manner and assist in the planning of academic activities. Document and Record Management: Maintain organized files and records related to faculty development, recruitment, and academic programs. Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents as needed by the Dean and Vice Dean. Data Collection and Organization: Data Collection and Organization on Professors' Publications. Prepare reports for official presentations, internal or external evaluations, and strategic documents related to academic research management. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant administrative experience. This position is well-suited for candidates who are currently pursuing a PhD or a DBA. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and work within deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic or educational environment. Familiarity with faculty recruitment and evaluation processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Schedule: 20 hours per week, distributed across three days. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on project needs. Application Deadline: 10/11/2024
