Wound Care Physician Quality Care You Can Trust Summit Medical Consultants is a rapidly growing Physician Practice, founded in 2015. We have expanded to approximately 120 employees (60+ providers) and are continuing to grow. If we were a hospital in Colorado, we would rank 9th by number of admissions per year. Our mission is to provide patients and their families with robust clinical services throughout acute inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, long-term care, and assisted and independent living stays. We coordinate with hospitalists, specialist physicians and surgeons, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, case management, and psychology at the facility level to provide compassionate and coordinated care.
Opportunity Details: We seek a Wound Care physician to join a growing physician-owned group working in the SNF, long-term care, and ALF settings. The physician will work in a consultative role with primary care providers.
Schedule: M-F
Offering a base salary of up to $250,000 - $300,000 plus bonuses and a full benefits package for full-time providers. Part-time positions will also be considered.

All credentialing expenses are covered, and malpractice coverage is provided through a group policy for full-time providers.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an approved school of medicine with licensure in the state where he/she practices. Board Eligible/Board Certified by the appropriate certifying board. Current DEA number. Must apply for and maintain medical staff membership and clinical privileges at appropriate facilities if required by the Employment Agreement. Requires commitment to healthcare and concern for people in distress, critical listening skills, the ability to communicate clearly, a desire to work with all types of people, the ability to work as a team member, and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to meet desired business outcomes while maintaining quality of care and be willing to update skills constantly.
Job Summary: Provides medical care to assigned patient population, maintains timely and appropriate documentation of such care, and actively participates in medical staff duties. Takes on the role and carries out the duties as a Medical Director for a facility of the Practice's choosing. All Medical Directorships attained by the Physician are understood to have been achieved through the Practice, and any Medical Directorship contract will be under the Practice's name. Participates in quality assurance, utilization management, and peer review programs to ensure high-quality, cost-effective services. Supports practice budgetary targets.
Partners with administration and staff to support strategic and operational plans.
Essential Functions: Meets quality measures in the provision of medical care. Performs related administrative functions in the clinical setting. Meets professional standards governing such services in the appropriate medical specialty. Performs in accordance with the medical staff bylaws, the rules and regulations of the Board of Medical Examiners, and the policies and procedures of practice.
