Job Description - Validation & Automation Engineer for Zone Controller - T8/4 (MER00030H8) Description 5+ years of experience in ECU HIL validationGood understanding of system functions related to body electronicsGood command on body electronics functions (e.g., wiper system, sunroof, door control, keyless go, locking system, exterior light, interior lights, seat control system). Able to imagine different testing scenarios and write test cases by understanding system requirements.Analyze requirements, develop test specifications, test scripts (PTTA preferably / CAPL / Python / Perl / C / C++), execution, and defect identification & logging.Good experience in UDS-based diagnostic testing and DoIP.Experience with dSPACE SCALAXIO simulators and Vector test benches. Basic knowledge in setting up HIL environment, loads, hardware connections, and flashing ECU.Basic concepts of object-oriented programming.Knowledge and experience with Provetech scripting language preferred; Python scripting language also acceptable.Good understanding of ECU communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Flexray, Ethernet).Experience in bringing automation to testing projects.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Well-developed communication and teamwork skills.Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Outstanding personal initiative, sense of responsibility, commitment, and perseverance.Eager to learn and work with new technologies.What can be differentiating factors:Good understanding of software architecture concepts.Experience working on AUTOSAR concepts.Understanding of Ethernet and OOP concepts.Understanding of UI functioning.Your Job Role and Responsibilities:Understand new concepts of next-generation EE architecture.Understand body electronics functions requirements related to multiple systems.Develop test specifications, test scripts, and test framework.Test case execution on dSPACE HIL or Vector platform.Debug, analyze failures, and report to defect management systems.Discuss with system developers about observed system behavior for issue resolution.Collaborate with other system testers to exchange ideas on improving the quality of HIL testing.Follow the approach to maximize test automation from the beginning.
