Your Mission as a Slickline Operator As a Slickline Operator, your mission is to safely and efficiently manage slickline equipment for downhole mechanical interventions, well maintenance.
Your dedication to safety and technical expertise will be instrumental in supporting well integrity and field operations, contributing directly to the long-term success of the wellsite.
You will be handling these duties and responsibilities as a Slickline Operator Operate Slickline Equipment: Set up and operate slickline tools to perform mechanical interventions like retrieving or installing valves, plugs, and other downhole equipment.
Downhole Tool Deployment: Conduct well maintenance tasks, such as plug setting, fishing operations, and diagnostics, by running and retrieving downhole tools.
Pressure Control: Operate under live well conditions, using pressure control devices such as blowout preventers (BOPs) and lubricators to ensure safe interventions.
Well Maintenance: Perform critical tasks such as removing debris, retrieving stuck objects, and maintaining wellhead components to keep the well performing at peak efficiency.
Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring the equipment is maintained and all operations are carried out safely.
Qualifications and Skills that will allow you to thrive as a Slickline Operator Experience: Good years of experience in slickline or wireline operations within the oil and gas industry.
Proven experience in well interventions, including plug setting, fishing, and valve handling.
Familiarity with high-pressure well environments and expertise in pressure control equipment.
Educational Level: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Technical training in well intervention or oilfield operations is an asset.
Skills: Solid technical knowledge of slickline operations, downhole tools, and pressure control systems.
Precision in operating slickline tools with efficiency and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting downhole issues.
Ability to perform under pressure and maintain focus on safety and details in challenging environments.
Strong communication skills for effective coordination with supervisors and wellsite teams.
Physically capable of handling the demands of remote and harsh working conditions.
Certifications: Well Control Certification (IWCF or IADC) is highly preferred.
H2S Safety Training is required.
First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory.
Additional certifications in Pressure Control, Rigging, or Downhole Tool Handling are an advantage.
Additional Information Working Days Hours: Rotation (6x3).
