WHAT IS ONEWEB? We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer that would be joining our OneWeb team. In the Area of Mercedes-Benz OneWeb & Mercedes Me Home, we create customer experiences for the Web and App channels. We focus on the entire customer journey by using platform solutions that enable our customers' different touchpoints across cars, products and services around the car.
With our products such as the Mercedes-Benz Worldwide Website (OneWeb), Car Configurator, Online Test-Drive Booking and the Mercedes Owner Area "Mercedes Me Home" and many more, we are building a seamless and luxurious experience for our customers.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL As QA Engineer you will be responsible of and advocate for the entire quality assurance standards & processes of your team.Define Quality and Testing processes from feature conception to product releaseReview requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedbackSupport your team at daily basis on requirements analysis, testing & reportingEstimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activitiesCreate detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test casesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedExecute every set of tests, from integration, regression and including exploratory testingExecute both manual and automated tests (API and/or GUI)Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source toolsDevelop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsInvestigate the causes of non-conforming software and work together with development team to solve the issuesTrack quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect countsWork in strict collaboration with other QA engineers to align and optimize standards and processes across the companyStay up to date with new testing tools and test strategiesTO SUCCEED YOU NEED Be a master on proactivity and be self-organizedPassionate about product quality and excellenceSolid understanding of software development methodologies, QA methodologies, tools and processesExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesFamiliar with (at least) one object-oriented programming languageHands-on experience with both white box and black-box testingHands-on experience with automated testing tools & framework implementationKnowledge of Web API Services REST and SOAPTHERE WILL BE BIG SMILES IF YOU Know of CI/CD workflow tools such as GitHub, Gitlab, Jenkins, Travis, SonarQube, etc.Know about container technologies such as Docker and KubernetesKnow about Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or Google CloudHave non-functional testing knowledge with focus on Performance TestingYOU WILL BE HAPPY WITH Open source softwareNo top-down hierarchy.
