S&Op Demand/Portfolio Lead Trays.

Job Title: S&OP Demand/Portfolio Lead - Trays Position Reports to: Director S&OP, Food Packaging
Area of Responsibility
Responsible for all unconstrained forecasting activities as well as the prepended S&OP portfolio review associated to Trays within the Food Packaging Division
Prepare and chair S&OP portfolio reviews and unconstrained demand reviews, sharing output and maintaining action trackers
Oversee the periodic review of the forecast portfolio to align with business strategy and analyse portfolio health consisting profitability, OTIF and inventory
Responsible to align on product/ customer categorization according to the business strategy supporting the mid/long-term planning process by conducting relevant analysis and recommend rules/ thresholds and related Minimum order quantity, proposed target lead time etc.
Act as single point of contact for questions and challenges on forecasts, mediating between the different stakeholders
Ensure the best possible demand incorporating business intelligence and demand signals gathered from sales, marketing, finance and other sources
Create and maintain demand forecast by applying chosen statistical methods with designated tools (e.g. Forecast Pro) and provide them to the respective forecast owner within the business for alignment
Maintain forecast accuracy metrics and drive forecast quality/accuracy target
Provide insight into root causes of forecast error, developing and implementing solutions to drive continuous improvement
Identify and leverage company and industry best practices within the S&OP portfolio and unconstrained review
Experience and Education
MA/BA/BS college degree or its equivalent in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
Several years of experience in the industry; preferable within demand planning/forecasting roles
Excellent analytical skills
Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
Deep knowledge of SAP, BW and MSOffice (especially Excel)
Good command in written and spoken English
High level of social and intercultural communication skills
Methodical and structured work
Handson mentality
Experience in project management desirable
