The location of the role can be in Munro (Argentina), Cuernavaca (Mexico), or Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership for Givaudan's food safety to support our current and future initiatives.Provide technical guidance on complex food safety or product compliance issues.In partnership with local Quality Managers support the implementation development and maintenance of food safety-related programs to meet internal, regulatory, and/or customer requirements.Provide guidance and support implementation, and verification of the effectiveness of the prerequisite programs related to Hygiene, including zoning, allergen risk management, pest control, cleaning validation and verification, pathogen monitoring, environmental monitoring, foreign body prevention, hygiene, and housekeeping.Monitor that the Site operates within the standard for sanitation, hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP) plan, and processing. Monitoring and reviewing the performance.Define and update the procedures, instructions, and tools required to operate in a factory.Work with managers at sites to introduce, improve standards, and manage change.Support Operation through the risk assessment of changes, equipment, process, and new raw materials introduction.Guide stakeholders in hygienic design requirements and assessment.Develop effective Training and Knowledge Sharing Programs. Create educational materials and provide training related to Food Safety Programs to industrial employees, managers, and supervisors.Support Site readiness for internal and external audits.Support the troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-up of non-conformities. Manage food safety issues within scope with the factory, supply chain, and other relevant stakeholders.Drive the quality and food safety culture with stakeholders.Develop and coordinate Audit Programs, including internal auditing learning plans and serve as the internal and external subject matter expert in developing and maintaining Food Safety Standards.Identify and communicate food safety trends that may be of concern.Coordinate Global and Regional projects related to Food Safety.Provide support to Customers on topics related to Food Safety risks and product specification.Academic BackgroundUniversity graduate or equivalent in Microbiology, Food Technology, Food Science, or related field of study.Master's degree in Food Safety.Business Fluent in Spanish and English, Portuguese will be a differential.Professional ProfileExtensive and recognized technical expertise in food safety.Experience of 10 years, at least 5 years in an equivalent position.Demonstrated competence in Food Safety System management, including FSSC2200, BRC, and FSMA.Solid project management skills and experience as a project manager and tools.Experience in identifying needs, planning, and performing training.Experience in successfully implementing Food Safety programs by leading change or participating in project teams, audit, and/or improvement projects.Expert understanding of probabilistic risk assessment methodology such as HACCP and approaches to vulnerability assessments in the area of Food Fraud / Food Defence.Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Food Safety.Expert with Food Safety testing instrumentation, including but not limited to Water, Microbiology, Environmental Monitoring, ATP Swabbing, and Allergen.Good understanding of manufacturing technologies and product characteristics.
