Scientific publications are essential vehicles for disseminating research findings, advancing knowledge, and fostering collaboration within the scientific community. Publications consist of abstracts, posters, oral presentations at medical conferences, and full peer-reviewed publications in medical journals. The Publication Management System Coordinator oversees and supports the implementation and maintenance of publication management systems. This position acts as the primary product and service owner for the chosen publication management system, such as Datavision, Pubshub, PubStrat, etc. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this position:
Manage projects related to sharing data from the system across various reporting and compliance platforms within the organization.Ensure accurate and high-quality data entry into the system; daily tracking and maintenance of all publication records and deliver accurate information within deadlines.Work closely with Account Services, authors, and clients to facilitate seamless communications generated from pub management systems.Coordinate with the Account Services team to integrate the system with existing processes.Communicate and stay informed about system updates, changes, and best practices to relevant stakeholders.Maintain documentation related to system configuration, workflows, and user manuals.Generate reports and analytics from the system as needed for decision-making.Partner with the Account Team and clients to ensure all medical communications documents and related resources are processed appropriately via the publication management system.Provide support to ensure team compliance with policies and SOPs.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as information science, library science, or project management).High level of attention to detail.Experience with system implementation, data management, and project coordination.Proven track record of managing various projects, solving problems, delivering on commitments, and working with multidisciplinary teams with strong communication skills.2 years of related experience (i.e., customer service, data entry, project management).Interest in the pharmaceutical industry is desired but knowledge or background in science is not required.Preferred Qualifications: Experience within a publication management system.Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.Ability to develop and oversee successful projects with cross-functional teams.Excellent professional communication and customer service skills.Skilled with Microsoft Office applications.Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Heightened awareness of deadlines is required; ability to work outside of working hours necessitated by deadlines, especially during peak congress time.Proactive problem-solving approach to any challenges faced.At Cadent, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace.
