The primary responsibility of a Middle Office team is to maintain a first:class operational infrastructure for the trading and sales desks to mitigate operations and financial risk to the business supported by providing a high quality control environment.
As a Middle Office Analyst, your core function will include client set up in ecommerce platforms, performing end:to:end controls along the trade lifecycle from trade execution and capture including analysis and verification of trade positions and valuations as well as timely and accurate monitoring of daily processes. The role will also include reconciling positions and trade details between various risk management systems and upstream execution platforms as well as investigating and resolving trade or system issues.
Additional tasks include metrics production, query management/resolution and various ad hoc project related tasks such as new regulatory and compliance mandates.
The environment is fast paced so adaptability and the ability to multi:task are critical. As this is a middle office role, you will be communicating with a wide variety of areas critical to supporting the business including Trading, Sales force, Finance, Back Office, and Technology etc.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain trading operations system integrity for the trading business we support (mainly FX and Derivatives)
Perform numerous control reconciliations to verify trading positions are accurate through system to system reconciliations
Run different intraday controls to ensure positions are accurate and escalate to different parties when appropriate
Investigate and provide solutions to various queries from settlements and confirmations teams (Back Office)
Client set up in Ecommerce platforms : assist clients to use various e:platforms. Includes new clients and maintenance of existing relationships.
Production of different Metrics, such as Key Performance and Key Control Indicators
Complete operations projects and ad hoc requests to satisfy new initiatives and operations/technology enhancements. Perform testing for new systems being implemented along trading lifecycle
Proactive in identifying issues/gaps and opportunities for new process improvements, taking appropriate actions to deliver simple and innovative solutions that improve the way we do business
Essential Qualifications
Education and Experience
BA or BS degree required (Finance or Business degree)
Minimum of 2y work experience.
Previous experience in Finance industry (Middle Office or Back Office roles) desired : not mandatory
Control oriented with a focus on efficiency and process improvement
Quick learner with a strong sense to question and understand all details behind the processes and numbers
Skills and Knowledge

Basic understanding of Financials products is required (mainly FX and Derivatives)
Problem solver, proactive and able to work independently
