We are looking for a Middle Node.js Engineer in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina
What you will do
- Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js, ensuring they are scalable, robust, and user-friendly;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability;
- Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications;
- Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure they are functioning correctly;
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our products and development processes.
Must haves
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Backend or Fullstack engineer with a strong portfolio of web applications;
- Proficiency in Node.js, with a deep understanding of their core principles and best practices;
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team;
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders;
Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to haves
- Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as Vue.js and React.js;
- Experience with Typescript;
- Knowledge of Ruby on Rails is preferred;
- Experience with AWS services,
particularly those relevant to web development and deployment;
- Understanding of microservices architecture and serverless computing;
Background in financial services or industry-specific knowledge related to Bloomberg Industry Group's focus areas.
