Position Purpose Manage the preparation, alignment and communication of the CA demand plan, which considers the commercial and financial objectives of the company plan demand at country level and SKU. Reach the objectives of Demand Planning Accuracy defined by the Division and agreed with the CA Region, Total Country and by type of product (Regular, Offer and New).
Main Responsibilities The Demand Planner is responsible for managing all activities to generate, align and communicate the demand plan by category or subsidiary. The final demand plan must be a collaborative process that reflects business strategies and plans to achieve business objectives. The Demand Planner is the main link between the commercial area and the supply chain to achieve an aligned/synchronized demand plan and direct continuous improvement.
Regularly interact with commercial teams (CDT's, Customer marketing and Consumer marketing) to collect and consolidate business plans as well as other relevant demand information. Determine the existing deviations vs. the statistical model (Demand Forecast) to achieve the alignment of the process and document the agreements and plans defined. Prepare and actively participate in the periodic process of the CBP discipline to develop an aligned demand plan. Differences and opportunities are identified, quantified and corrected. Ensure alignment of the demand plan with the supply plan. Identify and ensure the communication of risks/opportunities/supply constraints, their potential solutions as well as the impact on the ideal demand plan. Work multifunctionally to estimate the initial launch volume of the first six months for new products. Monitor/measure actual sales vs. the original plan and documented activities. Collaborate with the multifunctional team to manage and communicate changes in performance and life cycle in a SKU. Measure, report and direct the improvement of the accuracy of the demand plan estimate. Establish action plans for the gaps identified to achieve the objectives of DPA and BIAS. Monitor orders and sales regularly. Identify/communicate any significant changes. Facilitate a quick monitoring process. Database maintenance and product alignment. Compare the demand plan monthly versus the budget or last estimate defined by Finance and Marketing. Align the launch dates of new products and offers, between the area of supply, Customer and Consumer Marketing and the Customer Development Teams of each CA country. Build organizational strength and lead change. Inventory Management, involvement in service levels (case fill) and Simplification of the SKUs portfolio. Job Requirements Education: Industrial Engineering, Bachelor of Business Administration.
Experience: Advanced English, 5 years of experience in the area of mass consumption products preferably: Production planning, Supply Network Planning (CBS), Customer service.
Knowledge: Knowledge of SAP/APO.
Skills: Analytic, facility to work with numbers, facility to collaborate with others. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business in the replenishment process.
