About the Role:We are looking for an enthusiastic Inspector to join the Composite Assembly department on our early/late shift. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a core department in ensuring the quality and compliance of high-quality carbon components for our F1 racing car and our customer supply, in the most efficient, cost-effective manner.
Your responsibilities will include:In-process inspection of the fitting and bonding activities as per check sheet and drawings. Engage with fitters and team leaders to address any technical or quality issues.Perform finished assembly visual inspections as per drawing specification.Raise feedback regarding quality concerns and pro-actively participate in the root cause investigations. Ensure implementation of corrective actions to prevent issues from re-occurring.Raise feedback with Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure the instructions in drawings, build manuals and check sheets are correct, clear and concise and allow manufacture of high-quality parts.Ensure all processes carried out in the department are completed as specified on drawings or other technical guidance documents.Support with the improvement of the assembly manuals and generation of check sheets.Recording of all inspection data and part traceability information.Ensure ovens curing and traceability samples are processed to specification.Continuously promote efficiency ideas across the Fitting department or any other area within the business to reduce cost and increase efficiency of the manufacturing operations.Collaboration and agility are a requirement for this role; therefore, you should be able support fitting and bonding activities and/or other departments when required.Ensure key equipment and gauges are calibrated and functioning correctly.Maintain strong SAP discipline to ensure the accurate bookings of parts and assemblies to ensure compliance in the cost cap.Candidate Profile:The successful candidate will have a proven competence of composite manufacturing. You will be diligent and have a good attention to detail. The role requires strong communication skills and providing constructive feedback to maintain high quality awareness in the team.
You should possess a high level of drive and commitment and can influence and motivate colleagues. Knowledge of SAP and Catia/3DX is preferred.
