Position Summary The Accountant I is responsible for preparing standard and specialized financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, performing a variety of accounting functions, such as calculating and/or verifying amounts, posting transactions to accounts, and performing moderately complex financial analyses to summarize current and projected company financial position.

  Key Position Responsibilities ·       Bank reconciliation ·       Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions related to less complex accounts ·       Withhold tax accounts reconciliation ·       Assist in the monthly close of the company's financial statements ·       Document accounting and control procedures ·       Assist in financial analysis, budget preparation and analysis as well as monthly department reporting ·       Work with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures ·       Provide supporting documentation and analytical information for all external audits.
·       Assist in special projects as needed ·       Acts with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders ·       Takes full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction ·       Demonstrates initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth ·       Maintains a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to action ·       Develops trust and models open, candid, respectful communication and collaborative teamwork ·       Demonstrates a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning         Minimum Position Qualifications ·       BS in Accounting or Finance; CPA desired ·       At least 2 years of overall accounting experience; knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
·       Strong Excel skills ·       Excellent communication and customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers ·       Attention to detail ·       Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment ·       Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence and good judgment ·       Minimal travel required to Sovos locations and events ·       2 years of ERP user knowledge ·       Essential Job Functions: o   Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers o   Comprehend and communicate complex concepts o   Concentrate, analyze and resolve complex problems o   Utilize technology (e.g.
phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfill work requirements
